Powdersilk and Jr. Bacon: Friendship at Last

Student Literature Night was a time for poetry, music and healing dance. As Elliot Macaw played One Love on his accordion, neither Jr. Monkey nor Eric Powdersilk could allow their differences to separate them. They joined together once and for all for a round of tantalizing tango.

The Olive Branch between them formed as they danced their way to weeping reconciliation.

Jr. Bacon Monkey commented afterwards while dabbing his eyes, "When the music hit my ears I nearly forgot my father was executed. Powdersilk is the fanciest dancer I've ever seen...and I go to Monkeyclub every week. Bless his contagious dancing shoes, bless them."

Powdersilk could not be reached, he was busy signing deals with PBA's Dance Department and as a back up dancer with Disney's new cruise line.

The dance has signaled the beginning of a beautiful friendship between the Bacon and Powdersilk. Jr. Bacon has even abandoned his threats of revenge for the hanging of his father.

"At the end of our dance, I whispered into his ear, I love you, will you be my new dad?" sighed Jr. Bacon

Adoption papers are currently being processed and the two were spotted fishing on the bridge over the Intracoastal together.

Together at last.

Editors Note-
With all joking aside, we at the Bacon were very impressed to see this act of friendship. For all who may be cynical, we hope this will show that PBA really is not out to get anyone, nor does the school practice intolerance to speech. The administration has been very tolerant, and our existence is a testament to that.

Our dancing friend was a very good sport in all of this, and we are grateful for their sense of humor.

Bacon...did you not see the difference? It was Derek Powdersilk who was the culprit and you have reconciled Jr. with his twin Eric....

Keep working though, forward movement is always good.

One act is proof of tolerance to speech?

Let's just hope that PBA Central doesn't lose the adoption papers....

You know what? PBA Central is a good place. They never lost any of my papers!

Anonymouses, just because you have the right to speech doesn't mean you have to use it.

I wonder how many people actually understood what that was all about. I run into at least one person a week that has never heard of The Bacon.

nice, until the end when it seemed liked you had to explain that we are lucky that pba gives us freedom of speech. we shouldnt be forced to thank pba administration for allowing us to print something on the internet.

Does nothing please anyone anymore? Come on people, just try to be happy. You might like it.

Um... did anyone hear any thanks to PBA in this article... anyone? Nope, me neither. And you're right guys, we shouldn't have to thank them.

But I agree with David. Don't mistake having a positive outlook on a negative situation for sucking up to the administration. The administration does not always do the right thing, but don't put a damper on the hope that maybe, just maybe we might be taking steps in a positive direction here.

This has just surpassed CS Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia's convoluted characters carrying even more intrigue than the masterpiece. I never miss an issue and it seems that you all don't miss any issues either. It has become an intertwining of the fabric of PBA legacy where characters reach legendary proportions as the story unfolds to express unspeakable undercurrents of campus life and human interaction. Hats off to you all.

Thanks for many, many moments of healing laughter which daily refreshes my soul!

I think pba central does a great job for the number of students and the amount of paperwork. Like everything else, we only hear about the blunders.

Anonymous, I absolutely agree that freedom of speech does not mean you have to use it. If we did not face dire consequences for trivial statements it might foster some meaningful dialogue. What do you think?

PBA Central never seems to disappoint me, without fail I always find myself going into their offices at least 3 times a semester to give them the same paperwork that they 'never received'. Hats off to them and their hard work.

My only complaint about PBA Central is that when you fork over all that $ for your kid to go to school at PBA, you get a little yellow duplicate reciept slip, like the ones you get at Lowe's for a can of Raid, or at Wal-Mart for a pair of jeans. I wish the school would come up with something a little more 'official',like a signed document with the school's official logo at the top, with a 'paid in full' stamp across it, for a reciept for the thousands of dollars paid for our kids to go there. At least, it would make us parents feel a little better. Of course, I know that that is not the fault of the very nice students and people that work at PBA central. They are only doing thier jobs.

I used to work in Student Development and sit in on discipline committees and I can tell you first hand there is no sense of humor or tolerance! But keep dreaming!
